We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated, and energetic Production Manager to join our team in a rapidly growing environment for our upcoming manufacturing facility in Middletown, NY.

About the Role

The Production Manager will ensure the smooth functioning of all aspects of factory production, including teamwork coordination, team development, and product management. Efficient, functional production is critical in our successful operation and requires team management, productivity analysis, and schedule execution to achieve company goals. Also, work with other team members and subordinates on practical corrective actions and support continuous improvement projects and activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the manufacturing and shipping processes and procedures in factory production operations at the upcoming Middletown, NY Plant.

  • Execute the production schedule provided by the Supply Chain Manager.

  • Evaluate each production process’s cell/assembly station to maintain optimum efficiency and material flow.

  • Enforce all safety policies on the production floor.

  • Create and oversee employee training to increase productivity, enhance safe operations, and ensure profitability.

  • Inspect products for quality and accuracy before shipping.

  • Maintain communication between management and employees to ensure that company policies are understood and followed.

  • Ensure that the flow of resources like raw materials is maintained and those production items are delivered as needed and used correctly and efficiently.

  • Work with other operations team members and subordinates on root cause analysis and corrective actions as needed.

  • Adhere to effective schedules.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in business or manufacturing management, industrial engineering. Or relevant equivalent experience with formal training without a degree will be considered.

  • Background in team leadership roles in a factory environment

  • Practical experience with Lean/Six Sigma is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with a certified quality assurance system

  • Knowledgeable with ERP software and spreadsheets

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods on solid surfaces

  • Capability to lift and carry 50 pounds

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred

Position salary: $ 65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

Position Location: The Production Manager must be willing to temporarily commute to our facility in Orangeburg, NY, until the Middletown, NY facility is fully operational.
